Well, I did it. I flipped the switch, making the new site style go live. There are still some issues, but I couldn’t hold off any longer.
Over the last several years, I have re-designed this site about a dozen times. (You laugh – I have screenshots to prove it.) There are several pages I have yet to add, but this marks the beginning of a fresh start for the site. If you see anything out of place, please let me know so I can get it fixed.
This is a slight departure from the design I was working with before…well, okay, it’s a huge change. I wanted to build something that reduced the clutter and showy properties (such as they were) so you could engage with the content directly. There are lots of reasons for this, which I’ll be explaining throughout the next few articles. I’d like to explore the idea behind this change, what drove me to this point, plus a bit about content strategy and the way our brains work. I love that stuff.
